Hisako spent her final years at Hollenback Palms, an assisted living facility in Los Angeles. Despite the memory challenges she had at Hollenbeck, she continued to flawlessly produce beautiful watercolor prints. In 2023, her watercolor prints were featured at a special exhibit at Los Angeles City College.
